The Regatta Venue
The Pilots’ World Cup would be held in the Bay of Marseille, an emblematic site of France’s oldest city.
Located within a National Park, the french second largest city—framed by hills and archipelagos—offers an exceptional nautical setting. It was, moreover, the venue for the sailing events of the 2024 Olympic Games.
The Boat
The Maritime Pilots’ Sailing World Cup would be raced on equal terms, aboard strictly identical sailboats. Choosing a one-design competition guarantees better race clarity and enhances both the sporting and recreational aspects of the event.
The selected boats are Grand Surprise models, 30ft long, built in France by the Archambault shipyard. Easy to handle, fast and fun, they are specifically designed for racing and optimized for crews of six to seven people.
All boats will be provided by our partner Team Winds, specialists in corporate regattas.

Sport & Camaraderie
Each day of racing will be followed by a friendly social event held in unique and memorable venues. Enjoy relaxed moments ashore, connect with fellow participants, and unwind after a day on the water in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Take this opportunity to discover the South of France, its renowned gastronomy, and share unforgettable moments with harbor pilots from around the world.
An iconic pilot station
Founded around 600 BC by Greek sailors from Phocaea, the port of Marseille is one of the oldest in Europe and a historic maritime crossroads in the Mediterranean.
Building on this exceptional heritage, the Marseille pilot station has played a vital role for over two centuries, providing a 24/7 service.
More than 50 pilots assist all types of vessels every day to the ports of Marseille and Fos, continuing a tradition of excellence and safety at the heart of France’s largest port.
